MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To lead all aspects of compliance and data protection for Mediclinic Group (MCG) and related operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Drive the quality of strategic Group compliance processes at both Group and divisional level
- Drive the quality of the Group data protection processes at both Group and divisional level.
- Ensure compliance processes are embedded throughout the Group
- Ensure the effectiveness of the assurance model for Group compliance and within the context of the combined assurance model
- Fulfil the role of GDPR Data Protection Officer for the MCG
- Develop and maintain the Group compliance framework
- Ensure an effective feedback system to internal and external stakeholders is in place
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Post-graduate degree in Commerce or Law
DESIRED EDUCATION: Post-graduate compliance related degree/qualification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 7 years of compliance and risk management experience at a senior management level
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Similar role in a listed company or other relevant environment
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Compliance and risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Business Acumen
- Healthcare environment/industry and related regulatory requirements
- Legal/regulatory environments in all MCG jurisdictions
- Align with the company's data processing operations and the level of data protection required for the company
- Company IT infrastructure and organisational structure
- Data protection law and practices and international best practices
