Our client in the FMCG Manufacturing industry is currently looking for a Group Financial Manager in Mostyn Park, Roodepoort.

Responsibilities:

• Production analysis, financial reporting, and strategic assessments.
• Management Accounting: Design, review, and execution of management accounting reports and forecasting tools. Budget creation, management account finalisation, balance sheet reconciliation, expense analysis, and cash flow projections.
• Opportunity Analysis: Financial evaluation of new ventures via model preparation.
• CAPEX: Oversee CAPEX decision-making processes, ensuring financially sound choices for the business.
• Financial Reporting: Prompt preparation of IFRS year-end financials and audit packs. Efficiently handle the year-end audit.
• Compliance: Manage tax calculations and submissions (VAT, Income Tax, PAYE, Dividend withholding tax). Oversee BEE compliance, Workplace Skills Plans, Compensation Commission, and StatsSA submissions.
• Cost Accounting: Supervise cost accountant, undertake time-based factory studies and systems, sign off on new product materials, and maintain product costings.
• Get involved in various parts of the business. Actively contribute to the broader management team, assist with other ad hoc finance relate issues like insurance contract revisions, engage in various committees and facilitate interdepartmental reporting.

• BCom or CA qualification accompanied by 2-5 years of pertinent experience.
• Proficiency in Management Accounting and Financial Reporting, ideally within an FMCG or manufacturing domain.
• A solid grounding in Taxation.
• Good numerical prowess and attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, notably in Excel.
• Adaptability to new ERP systems.
• Articulate communication skills, both oral and written.
• Good Interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships within the existing finance team and broader business.
• Resilience under pressure, ownership of outcomes, and systematic work ethics.
• Independence in task execution combined with a team-player attitude.
• Versatile, astute individual eager to grow.
• Prior exposure to food manufacturing and managing manufacturing costs is advantageous.

• Up to R 1.4 mil per annum.
