My client is a major player in the food service industry. Renowned for its extensive portfolio of franchise brands, it operates a diverse range of restaurant chains, each offering distinctive dining experiences covering a wide array of cuisines. They primarily focus on the franchising and management of a variety of restaurants and eateries.

The responsibilities for the incumbent include conducting analysis and reporting, including managing SARS requirements, preparing financial reports for three entities, continuously monitoring and reporting all deviations from the budget, ensuring timely and efficient processing of the month-end closing process, collaborating with other departments to review and analyse departmental financial statements, reviewing all balance sheet accounts, monthly reconciliations, and any necessary journal entries at month-end, compiling a monthly pack for the unit, preparing, reviewing, and approving reconciliations, calculating interest on long-term loans for operational and forecasting purposes, preparing SARS documentation and necessary information, including VAT returns, completing and submitting company corporate tax using one source, managing weekly cash flow, additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and verifying the accuracy of the accountant's work.

Qualification and Skills Required:

• BCom Financial Accounting
• SAIPA or SAICA accreditation.
• 3 years experience.
• 2+ years experience in the FMCG industry is non-negotiable.
