Group Financial Accountant

Job Description
Duties:
- Presentation of group consolidated results to the groups executive management on a monthly basis
- Preparation of group reporting templates and coordinating quarterly, interim and year end reporting across the group
- Preparation of group consolidated financial statements for half year and full year results
- Planning and controlling the annual external audit process
- Assisting with preparation of annual integrated report.
- Preparation of quarterly group board reporting (CFO report, Solvency and Liquidity etc.)
- Preparation of technical accounting papers relating to group accounting issues
- Reviewing of technical accounting papers and opinions prepared by subsidiaries
- Update of group wide accounting policies;
- Reviewing the JSEs annual pro-active monitoring report to the audit committee
- Management of the consultation with the auditors on technical accounting matters
Qualifications:
- Matric
- BCom Accounting
- BCom Accounting Honours
- CA(SA)
- Completed SAICA articles.
- 6 - 8 years post articles experience in a group reporting role
- Proven knowledge of IFRS 9 will be highly beneficial
- Proven experience in preparation of group consolidated AFS in line with IFRS
- IBM Cognos Controller
- TM1
- CDM
- Adaptive Insights
- Tableau
- Should be able to provide strategic input on financial matters
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Have strong leadership and management skills
