? Group Finance Manager -- Lead the Financial Scrum to Victory

An established and diversified financial services group -- driven by responsible lending and financial inclusion -- is looking for a Group Finance Manager to take charge of a multi-entity finance function. ? Your Position on the Field
As Group Finance Manager, you'll take full command of the financial management and reporting across 11 companies -- ensuring precision, compliance, and forward momentum.
You'll:

• Oversee the full accounting and reporting cycle.
• Lead the annual audit process.
• Manage and review management accounts, journals, cashbooks, and ledgers.
• Oversee group payroll, ensuring compliance.
• Steer cash flow, analytics, and financial planning.
• Ensure all statutory reporting and regulatory submissions (NCR, FSCA, FIC) are onside.
• Manage SARS and CIPC compliance, from tax and VAT returns to beneficial ownership filings.
• Engage with banks on funding, covenants, and FICA reviews.
• Collaborate with HR on BEE certification and Stats SA submissions.
• Oversee collections, loan disbursements, and insurance reporting.
• Approve fund requests, refunds, and staff loans.
• Strengthen the team's defence by implementing robust policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coach and mentor a 17-member finance team, building capability, confidence, and cohesion.

? The Skills You Bring to the Game

• CA(SA) qualification with BCom Honours or equivalent degree/diploma.
• At least 5 years' post-articles experience in a group finance or multi-entity environment.
• Advanced technical knowledge and proficiency in Sage Intacct and Pastel Payroll & HR 2024.
• Excel and Microsoft Office pro -- you know how to run the numbers like set pieces.
• Strong experience in group consolidations and complex reporting structures.
• Understanding of the National Credit Act and FAIS Act.
• Knowledge of the Companies, Income Tax, and VAT Acts.
• Proven leadership ability -- you motivate your team like a true captain.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and planning skills.
• Calm under pressure, with the stamina to see every match through to the final whistle.
