Role title - Group Finance Administrator



Reports to - Group Finance Manager



Location - Mount Edgecombe, Durban (Office-based role: Monday to Friday 08.00 - 17.00)





The Opportunity





We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Group Finance Administrator to join our Finance team on a fixed-term basis. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial operations across the group. You will support both core finance processes (accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, compliance) and broader business administration that underpins our growth as a global B2B SaaS provider.



This role provides exposure to subscription-based revenue models, cross-border operations, and compliance frameworks within a global SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities




Financial Administration




Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Process supplier invoices, maintain accounts payable ledgers, and prepare supplier reconciliations. Administer employee expense claims in line with company policies, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Manage customer invoicing and collections, including allocation of receipts, debtor ageing analysis, and proactive credit control. Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation. Support timesheet and time capture reporting, checking accuracy and compiling management summaries. Support month-end close activities: reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue schedules, and fixed asset postings. Assist with compliance submissions (e.g. VAT) and prepare audit-ready documentation. Contribute to insurance administration (policy schedules, renewals, claims documentation).



Business Administration & Compliance




Provide cross-functional administrative support to HR, Sales, and Marketing teams. Assist with procurement: vendor onboarding, purchase order matching, and compliance checks. Coordinate and support BBBEE compliance: maintain evidence files, liaise with verification agency, track supplier certificates, and assist with audit submissions. Assist with Workforce Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) inputs, including compiling training data, coordinating submissions, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Maintain structured filing systems and ensure adherence to data protection regulations (POPIA/GDPR). Support operational compliance, monitor internal controls, segregation of duties, and adherence to financial policies.




General




Provide day-to-day support to the Finance Manager. Support continuous improvement by developing and maintaining finance templates, SOPs, and checklists. Undertake ad hoc projects to support operational efficiency and financial systems optimisation.



Education & Experience




Education: Relevant accounting/finance studies are advantageous. Experience: Minimum 2 years in finance or accounts administration, with hands-on exposure to AR, AP, reconciliations, and month-end processes.




Skills & Competencies




A proactive, problem-solving mindset. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking. Proficient in Xero (certification preferred) and Microsoft Office 365 Demonstrates integrity and a strong commitment to ethical practices. Excellent written and verbal communication.
