Job Description
Position: Group Accountant
Location: Cape Town
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The position reports to the Financial Manager
- Actively contribute to the group reporting process
- Responsible for the consolidation of our group companies and for providing oversight of the reporting for all the group entities
- Annual financial statements, management reporting and various analysis
- Review monthly management packs for the other group entities
- Preparation of board papers
- Preparation of group budgets
- Tax reporting
- Keep up to date with IFRS standards and all accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
- IFRS implementation
- Responding to queries from external auditors
- Ad hoc
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- Financial services or insurance industry exposure (can be during articles)
- First time board passes
- Good teamwork and collaborative skills
