About the Role
Our client, a growing integrated PR and communications agency, is seeking an accomplished Group Account Director to lead its client service teams and drive growth across a portfolio of high-profile accounts. This is a senior leadership role requiring a strategic operator with strong commercial acumen, deep client service experience, and the ability to steer cross-functional teams towards delivering impactful, multi-channel campaigns.
The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to clients, an internal champion for team performance, and a driver of innovation and efficiency across the agency.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Account Growth
Act as the senior point of contact for key accounts, developing strong relationships built on trust, delivery, and strategic counsel.
Identify and pursue opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling, and long-term partnership growth.
Lead the development of integrated marketing strategies aligned with client objectives and emerging market dynamics.
Team Management & Collaboration
Manage and mentor a team of Account Directors, promoting high standards and professional growth.
Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure alignment between team performance and broader business objectives.
Champion a collaborative, solutions-driven culture that empowers individuals and encourages cross-discipline cohesion.
Campaign Delivery & Innovation
Oversee delivery of high-performing campaigns across creative, PR, content, and digital platforms.
Ensure outputs are insight-led, brand-aligned, and exceed client expectations.
Stay ahead of trends, platforms, and technologies to recommend forward-thinking, competitive solutions.
Operational Excellence & Commercial Management
Drive efficiency across account teams, optimising workflows, resourcing, and project delivery.
Monitor account financials including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability tracking.
Lead strategic proposals, pitch responses, and new business opportunities.
External Representation & Stakeholder Engagement
Represent the agency in client leadership meetings, sector events, and networking forums.
Act as a brand ambassador, advocating for the agencys values and positioning in the marketplace.
Candidate Requirements
Education
Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
Experience
10+ years experience in client services or account leadership, ideally within an integrated or creative agency environment.
Strong background managing large-scale, multi-channel campaigns xe2x80x94 particularly within sectors such as tech, FMCG, or retail.
Demonstrated success in growing client relationships, managing budgets, and improving profitability. * Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
