Chandler Institute of Justice (CIJ) is a consulting firm that works with African governments by leveraging the transformative power of law reform to enhance good governance and facilitate social mobility and inclusive economic development. Good Governance:

Legal frameworks that establish the institutional mechanisms necessary to prevent abuse of power, corruption, and arbitrary decision-making, thus promoting cultures of integrity, good governance, adherence to the rule of law, and respect for human rights

Economic Development:

Legal frameworks that provide the foundation for economic thriving activity by establishing clear and enforceable laws that create a conducive environment for investment, entrepreneurship, and innovation, fostering economic growth and prosperity

Social Mobility:

Legal frameworks that promote social justice, equity, and inclusivity by protecting the rights of marginalized groups, ensuring access to justice, and fostering social cohesion. These include laws that govern education, healthcare, housing, labour rights, and social protection with the aim to contribute to the well-being and prosperity of individuals and communities, thus addressing inequalities and promoting social mobility



Role



A creative, detail-oriented Designer with a strong background in publication design (reports, magazines, brochures) and PowerPoint presentation design. The ideal candidate will be able to translate complex ideas into clear, visually compelling layouts across print. Bonus if the designer is experienced in Midjourney or similar AI tools for generating creative concepts.



Responsibilities



Design and produce high-quality publications (magazines, books, brochures)

Create polished, on-brand PowerPoint presentations for leadership and corporate use

Build and maintain templates and ensure consistency with brand guidelines

Collaborate with writers and project managers to visualise content effectively

Manage multiple projects with attention to deadlines and quality

Use AI tools (e.g., Midjourney) to develop concept visuals and creative directions



Requirements

The ideal candidate will ideally possess the following:

Proven experience in publication/editorial design with a strong portfolio

Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft PowerPoint

Excellent eye for typography, layout, and information design

(Preferred) Experience with AI image generation tools like Midjourney, DALLE, or Firefly.
