is looking to hire the services of two

Independent Contractors, Graphic Design Lecturers

,

at our

Pretoria

campus on a part-time basis.

Type of appointment:

Independent Contractor (part-time; flexible workhours agreement)

Purpose:

To lecture Humanities-related modules, in the faculty on a part-time (contractual) basis. To assist in the administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the academic department.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum qualifications required:

Honours degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication Design or Digital Design or Interactive Media / Interactive Design or Multimedia Design or Communication Design or Information Design or a relevant qualification

(Masters qualification will be an advantage)

Experience:

Minimum: 1 - 2 years relevant lecturing experience Necessary knowledge of higher education practices and processes Relevant research experience

Duties and Responsibilities

Modules to be lectured:

Professional Development Individual Project Web Design B Typography 1 (GDTPA1) Contextual Studies in Art and Design Software in Art and Design Techniques and Processes in Art and Design Communication in Art and Design Digital Design Practices Software in Art and Design

Responsibilities:

Lecturing General administration Setting and marking of assessments Preparation of notes and additional study materials Quality Assurance Management of At-risk students
