Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Graphic and Web Designer to join our dynamic team at Black Oba. As a key member of our creative department, you will play a crucial role in visually representing our brand as well as our client brands and conveying our commitment to excellence and empowerment through compelling graphic and web designs.

The Graphic and Web Designer needs to be a creative professional who specializes in creating visual content for various mediums, primarily for print and digital platforms. Their work involves combining artistic and technical skills to communicate ideas, messages, and information effectively. Here are some key aspects of what graphic and web designer will typically do:

Graphic Design:

Branding: Create visual identities for companies, including logos, color schemes, and overall branding guidelines.

Print Design: Design materials for print, such as brochures, posters, business cards, packaging, and more.

Digital Design: Develop graphics for digital platforms, including social media graphics, banners, email templates, and digital advertisements.

Web Design:

Website Layout: Design the visual layout and aesthetics of websites, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing experience.

User Interface (UI) Design: Create the visual elements and interactive features of web applications or websites to enhance user experience.

User Experience (UX) Design: Focus on the overall user experience, including usability, navigation, and accessibility, to ensure a positive interaction with the website or application.

Responsive Design: Ensure that websites are optimized for various devices and screen sizes, providing a consistent experience across platforms.

Software Skills:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to produce engaging visual content for various platforms, including social media, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Implement design best practices and stay up-to-date with industry trends to contribute fresh and innovative ideas.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all design assets and platforms.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in graphic design, web design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and web design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD).
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS for web design.
  • Strong creative and artistic abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, demonstrating creativity and proficiency.
