Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Grants Writer

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and ensuring high-quality grant applications that align with our mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Research and identify new grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources. Write, edit, and submit persuasive grant proposals, concept notes, and reports. Collaborate with program staff to gather data, success stories, and impact metrics. Maintain a grants calendar to ensure timely submission of applications and reporting. Build and manage relationships with funders, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of

24 months experience

as a grants writer or in a related fundraising role. Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong research, organizational, and project management skills. Familiarity with the nonprofit/NGO sector in South Africa is an advantage. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
