Job Description
Houghton School invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced educators for a full-time SGB Teaching Position starting in 2026.
Minimum Requirements:
A recognised Education Degree (Intermediate or Senior Phase)
SACE registration (valid and up to date)
Minimum 5 years' teaching experience in a primary school
Proven experience teaching:
Afrikaans Home/First Additional Language (Grades 6 & 7)
Creative Arts (Grades 6 & 7)
CAPS Curriculum proficiency
Strong classroom management and learner discipline skills
Ability to coach netball, soccer and cricket and assist with various extramurals.
Willingness to serve as Grade 7 class teacher, including Grade 7 administration and prefect leadership responsibilities
Personal Attributes:
Professional and enthusiastic educator with a passion for holistic learner development
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Committed to maintaining the school's values and ethos
Requirements:
A comprehensive CV, certified copies of qualifications and SACE certificate, and contactable references.

Pay: R20000,00 - R25000,00 per month
