Goods Receiving Supervisor - Cape TownThe main purpose: Oversee and direct the activities of the team responsible to check, receive and manage all goods ordered and delivered. Ensuring that goods are received at and delivered to the correct areas and conforms with HACCP and ISO standards.Key responsibilities but are not limited to:1. Coordinate Receiving TeamDirecting and coordinating team members within the department;Assigns tasks related to the intake, transportation, and storage of goods; andWhere necessary provide direct support during unloading and transport activities.2. ReceiptingCollate, update and maintain information necessitating the application of interpretative skills and understanding general procedures in the utilisation of business management software.To ensure laid down guidelines, procedures and controls are conformed to during the procurement and receiving processes.Resolving discrepancies between purchase orders vs. invoiceProcessing of receiving and transfer of stock on the inventory management system.Interpreting and generation of reporting such as price variances, as well as monthly exception reporting.Ensure receipting is finalised within 2 working days of the inventory count date/month end.Ensures the facility and associates comply with all legislative and company standards (i.e. HACCP, ISO and CTICC policy).Follows receiving schedule and supervises truck inspections.Ensure the proper identification, reporting and escalation of any returns and breakages.Communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries, specifically regarding under/over delivery and any back orders.3. StationeryMaintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroomRequest Quotes through the official procurement processes for required stationery.Raise Requisitions for required stationery for the SCM Managers approval.Ensure purchase requirements are effectively communicated and understood ensuring the correct item is received at the agreed price and within the specific time frames.Receive, unload, and shelve suppliesPerform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, and labelling suppliesInspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to seniors for reimbursements and record keepingRotate stock (FIFO), perform necessary stock-takes and coordinate the disposal of surpluses (IN TERMS OF POLICY)Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory controlConduct monthly physical stock counts4. Food and Beverage RequisitionsRequest Quotes through the official procurement processes for required inventory.Raise Food and Beverage requisitions for approval by the relevant line manager.Ensure purchase requirements are effectively communicated and understood ensuring the correct inventory it received at the agreed price and within the specific time frames.5. AdministrativeMaintaining the companyxe2x80x99s goods receiving logs.Manages employee time and attendance, and updates hours appropriately.Perform any other reasonable task as requested.Minimum qualifications and experience::Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)Certificate in Warehousing / Logistics / Procurement (NQF Level 5) or similarMinimum 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a Food and Beverage environment, specifically in relation to goods receiving and warehousingMust have knowledge of HACCP and Logistics ManagementExperience in inventory management systems (e.g., Fidelio, Procure.NET, etc.)Skills and attributes:Computer literate in Microsoft OfficeGood communication skillsA well-disciplined and meticulous individualFlexible and have the ability to work productively in a stressful, deadline driven environmentAble to lift up to 25kgMust have experience supervising employeesThe CTICC has adopted a Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.Kindly apply for this position through our applicant tracking system: https://cticc.recruitee.com/ before 17h00 on the 18 September 2023 by completing the Employment Application Form and submitting your highest qualifications, CV and your e-vaccination certificate.
