We are looking for an experienced

Golf Club Professional & Pro Shop Manager

to join

Ba-Phalaborwa Golf Course & Spa

. In this role, you will lead our pro shop and ensure an exceptional golfing experience for members and guests. This position combines retail management with professional golf expertise, requiring leadership, customer service excellence, and a passion for the game.

Key Responsibilities:

Pro Shop Management:

Oversee all retail functions including stock control, merchandising, POS operations, and customer service. Manage inventory, order and receive stock, and create attractive merchandise displays. Ensure accurate financial reconciliation and cash-up procedures.

Customer Service & Member Experience:

Maintain a professional, welcoming environment in the Pro Shop and practice facilities. Build strong relationships with members and guests, address concerns promptly, and assist with member communications regarding events, promotions, and updates.

Coaching & Player Development:

Provide individual and group coaching, club fittings, swing analysis, and player improvement programs. Develop junior golf programs, clinics, and community outreach initiatives to promote participation at all levels.

Administration & Reporting:

Prepare monthly sales and operational reports, manage Pro Shop budgets, monitor cost controls and revenue targets, maintain accurate lesson bookings and membership data, and collaborate with Club Management on marketing campaigns and club development projects.

Requirements:

Matric certificate; PGA qualification or Retail Management Certificate preferred. Proven experience in golf operations and retail management; ideally 3 years managing a golf course pro shop. Valid Driver's License. Strong administration, leadership, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions. Knowledge of club systems, booking platforms, and member account modules.
