Geometric Engineer

Our client in the Engineering industry is currently looking for a Geometric Engineer, in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

Engage/participate in the full spectrum of Engineering design - from conceptual to final design.
Perform and oversee drafting.
Develop specifications and cost estimates.
Prepare reports required by the project development.
Full project management responsibilities for related design projects.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight.
Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex technical nature.
Able to learn and to develop new skills and workflows for new digital tools.
Transfer knowledge and skills to junior engineers/modellers and the team.

Requirements:

Relevant BSc/BEng/BTech Degree.
At least 2 - 3 years Road (Geometric) Design experience gained in a consulting environment.
Experience designing with Open Roads or Power Civil as well as competency in MicroStation.
Sound project design and deliverable management experience.
Sound communication skills.
