The Generator Technician role will involve the towing, deploying, refueling and recovering of mobile units.
Actual and potential generator nonconformities are dealt with, and that corrective and preventative actions are taken to report to the upper level.
MAIN OUTPUTS
Refueling of static and mobile generators, as per timeously requirements
Deploying and recovering of mobile generators as per operational requirements
Performing basic Power checks and facilitate manual changeover between Eskom and Generator supply.
Maintaining the general condition and cleanliness of Generators, Bowsers, and all Company Assets.
Perform Quality measures and Audits
Plan generator repairs
Oversee and identify the possible risks that may affect H&S, workflow, quality, performance, etc., and must report all risks identified on time in the proper means of communication to urgency.
Will be expected to travel and perform tasks in different regions from time to time
Maintaining accurate documentation of generator usage and deployment details.
Conducting pre- and post-deployment inspections to ensure proper functionality.
Adhering to safety regulations, guidelines, and industry standards
Requires strong technical knowledge, physical stamina, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure reliable and efficient mobile generator services.
Weekly generator Inspections on Site
The Applicant must meet the following requirements:
Grade 12 Minimum requirement
Trade Test- Mechanical will be beneficial but not required
Valid SA Drivers' License- Valid Code 14/EB
1-2 Years' experience in Telecommunications on GSM Sites
Dangerous Goods Driving Permit
