Job Description
Our client in Porterville is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused General Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to the local community. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of medical conditions while delivering high-quality, ethical, and compassionate care.
Description:
- Provide primary medical care, including consultations, examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with clinical best practices.
- Prescribe medication and treatment plans responsibly and accurately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Refer patients to specialists or hospitals when necessary.
- Promote preventative healthcare and patient education.
- Ensure compliance with medical, ethical, and legal standards.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
- Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
- Valid medical indemnity insurance.
- Fluent in Afrikaans (essential); English proficiency advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical medical practice.
- Willing to relocate
- Own reliable transport & valid drivers license
- Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Strong patient care and bedside manner.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
