General Operations Manager: Minimum Qualifications: xefx82xb7 B Comm finance related xefx82xb7 South African driversxe2x80x99 licence xefx82xb7 No criminal Record Experience xefx82xb7 3 years financial experience xefx82xb7 3 years managerial experience xefx82xb7 Above years should include experience in the hospitality industry Package xefx82xb7 Salary negotiable depending on qualification, experience, and references xefx82xb7 Live in position xefx82xb7 Meals while on duty xefx82xb7 3 week/1 week Cycle leave xefx82xb7 15 days annual leave xefx82xb7 Provident fund Responsibilities Responsibilities include but not limited to: xefx82xb7 Meticulous in all aspects of managing the lodges and managing the general managers and other staff xefx82xb7 Managing, Overseeing and Disciplining Staff xefx82xb7 Staff training and development xefx82xb7 Review and oversight of allocation of Airport Transfers xefx82xb7 Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed xefx82xb7 Reporting to Directors and Head Office xefx82xb7 Managing storeroom Staff Management xefx82xb7 Wage costs and staff welfare xefx82xb7 Staff discipline xefx82xb7 Payroll xe2x80x93 review of clocking system information sent to head office. xefx82xb7 Act as intermediary i.t.o improving the accuracy and quality of information between the lodges to head office xefx82xb7 Employee leave management xefx82xb7 Attendance registers are kept up to date daily by GMxe2x80x99s /HODxe2x80x99s Financial xefx82xb7 Cost control and cost management. xefx82xb7 Obtain a deep understanding of the reservations systems, financial procedures and the stock and POS system in order to be able to assist with queries that may arise. xefx82xb7 Review and oversight on stock levels, implementation of minimum par levels and reordering levels.

  • Review and oversight of stock control and stock takes. xefx82xb7 Review and oversight of the POS and stock management system (Forming a deep understanding of the system in order to solve any issues from lodge level and from the storeroom). xefx82xb7 Ensure General Managers send all stock, petty cash and Daily cash controls are kept up to date and balanced. xefx82xb7 Control and oversight of petty cash.
  • Review and checks at lodge level on curio, bar, kitchen, etc. xefx82xb7 Review and reconciliation of fuel reports and physical checks on fuel levels. General Operations Manager: (Continued) Lodge Division xefx82xb7 Manage the General Managers and other staff. xefx82xb7 Ensure the lodge maintains the required standards aesthetically.
  • Ensure costs are maintained as per the required standard. xefx82xb7 Assist with Events planning and execution. xefx82xb7 Assist with menu planning and cost control. xefx82xb7 Ensure day to day operations are being met, this includes speciality groups (ie Kosher).
  • Liquor licenses are up to date (December yearly). xefx82xb7 Tourism grading council. xefx82xb7 Health and safety standards are met. Other Attributes xefx82xb7 Ability to lead a team and take control in a busy environment.
  • Provide leadership to staff. xefx82xb7 Maintain lodge facilitiesxe2x80x99 standards. xefx82xb7 Manage the requisite administration processes. xefx82xb7 Control operations costs.
  • Candidate will have the capacity to arrange the availability and allocation of required resources. xefx82xb7 Utilize control systems, delegate and coordinate the tasks and duties of individuals and groups in a way that ascertains the smooth flow of work throughout the workplace. xefx82xb7 Exercise budget control. xefx82xb7 Present and provide a level of hospitality which personifies Company standards.
  • Monitoring of stock and weekly report taking. xefx82xb7 Food quality check. xefx82xb7 Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to foster teamwork. xefx82xb7 A commitment to internal and external customer satisfaction.
