We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to an FMCG team in the Free State! In this role, you will provide excellent strategic leadership and assume responsibility for the successful management and operation of an abattoir facility.

To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 5 years of previous experience as a General Manager in an abattoir. A post-graduate qualification in production management or a related field is required to demonstrate your deep understanding of the industry.

Your role will involve developing and executing strategic and business plans, so hands-on experience in these areas is essential. Additionally, you should possess in-depth knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the meat processing industry. Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are crucial for effectively managing a diverse team.

We are seeking a General Manager with strong business acumen and a good financial understanding. You must be able to make sound strategic decisions based on operational requirements and understand how a production environment works.

Operational efficiency and optimisation is key to success in this role, and you should have a demonstrated ability to integrate business goals into deliverables. Your experience in operating in a multi-disciplinary working environment and matrix structures will be valuable as you collaborate with professionals from various departments.
