Job Summary General Manager - Luxury Lodge | Grahamstown, Eastern Cape Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced General Manager to join a prestigious Luxury Lodge based in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape. This is a live-in position offering a competitive salary of R30;000 per month (negotiable depending on experience) . The ideal candidate will be a well-presented and professional individual with a strong background in lodge or hotel management, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering world-class guest experiences. Requirements: Matric Degree; National Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management (essential) Minimum of 5 years' experience working at a 5-star lodge or hotel Proven management experience within a similar environment Clear understanding of lodge operations Computer literate and proficient in MS Office packages Proficient in OPERA property management system Professional; well-groomed, and excellent communication skills Strong administrative and operational skills Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities Financial acumen with an understanding of budgeting and cost control Strong leadership and team management skills Sound knowledge of Guest Relations, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Front Office operations Experience using platforms such as Guest Revu and TripAdvisor Ability to implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, reputation, and profitability Exceptional Food & Beverage knowledge Passion for training and developing staff Understanding of basic labour law and disciplinary procedures Valid driver's licence (no endorsements) and own reliable transport (essential) Willingness to live on-site Key Responsibilities: Oversee all lodge departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations Maintain high standards of service, guest satisfaction, and property upkeep Manage and motivate staff to achieve service excellence Ensure financial targets are met and budgets are managed effectively Maintain strong guest relationships and handle feedback proactively Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall lodge performance This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished hospitality professional to join a world-class property and lead a dedicated team to success.
