Job Summary General Manager - Luxury Lodge | Grahamstown, Eastern Cape Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced General Manager to join a prestigious Luxury Lodge based in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape. This is an exciting live-in opportunity for a professional hospitality leader with extensive lodge management experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering world-class guest experiences. General Manager Requirements: Matric; Degree, National Diploma, or Certificate in Hotel Management (essential) Minimum 5 years' experience working at a 5-star lodge or hotel Proven management experience in a similar environment Clear understanding of lodge operations Computer literate and proficient in MS Office; experience with OPERA property management system Professional; well-groomed, and excellent communication skills Strong administrative, operational, and time management abilities Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control Strong leadership and team management skills Sound knowledge of Guest Relations, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Front Office operations Experience using guest feedback platforms such as Guest Revu and TripAdvisor Ability to implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, reputation, and profitability Exceptional Food & Beverage knowledge Passion for staff training and development Understanding of basic labour law and disciplinary procedures Valid driver's licence (no endorsements) and own reliable transport Willingness to live on-site General Manager Responsibilities: Oversee all lodge departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations Maintain high standards of service, guest satisfaction, and property upkeep Manage; motivate, and develop staff to achieve service excellence Ensure financial targets are met and budgets are managed effectively Maintain strong guest relationships and handle feedback proactively Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall lodge performance Package: Salary: R30,000 per month (negotiable depending on experience) Live-in accommodation Flexible working hours including weekends and public holidays To Apply: Please send your updated CV, reference letters, and qualifications today Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates who meet the listed requirements will be contacted.
