General Manager (Logistics) required in Stellenbosch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
+ Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies.
+ Identify growth opportunities and oversee their execution.
+ Ensure alignment between operational goals and the organisation's strategic direction.
+ Responsible for the full management function of the business. Financial Management:
+ Manage profitability, cashflow, and budgeting processes in collaboration with the Financial Manager.
+ Evaluate risks and implement appropriate risk-management measures.
+ Monthly reporting relating to profitability, debtors, and management of operational expenses. Operational Management:
+ Manage processes, policies, and procedures to maintain quality and compliance.
+ Oversee all operational functions to ensure optimal efficiency. People Management:
+ Manage organisational structures, role allocation, succession planning, and talent development in collaboration with the HR department.
+ Ensure effective communication, support, and performance management within the department. Client Management:
+ Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, suppliers, and external partners.
+ Ensure service levels are continuously improved to optimise client satisfaction.
Requirements:
A relevant degree in Business Management, Logistics, Commerce or similar.
An MBA will be advantageous.
Minimum of 15 years' industry knowledge and 10+ years' experience in a senior management role, preferably within logistics, transport, or an operational environment.
* At least ten years' experience in a senior leadership role where performance was measured against achieving predetermined profit targets.
