General Manager: Logistics

Job Description
Oversee the full warehousing, transport, and distribution operation across all sites. Ensure safety, operational control, accurate inventory, reliable order execution, solid transport performance and a capable workforce. Drive process improvement, system accuracy, cost control and operational efficiency throughout the supply chain.
Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:
- BCom Logistics Management or Supply Chain or BEng Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- 15 years operational leadership in supply chain or manufacturing
- 10 years general management experience in warehousing and transport
- Strong knowledge of logistics, legislation, safety and operational systems
- Experience in ISO 9000 environments
- SAP (WMS, SD, PP) experience
- Proven experience in project implementation, financial control, people leadership and high-volume operations
- Oversee all warehouse operations across multiple national sites
- Manage inventory accuracy, stock flows and specialised handling equipment
- Lead national transport operations, fleet control and service provider performance
- Ensure safe loading, routing, delivery execution and incident management
- Control return logistics and packaging assets
- Drive continuous improvement, new process implementation and operational optimisation
- Ensure accurate SAP processes, business controls and ISO compliance
- Lead teams, training, development and organisational capability
- Manage budgets, cost control, financial reporting and CAPEX planning
- Support S&OP planning, production supply and customer delivery needs
