Job Description
Hiring a General Manager: Container and Bulk Handling Equipment with Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background in Durban, KwaZulu Natal
Minimum Requirements:
Preferably in your early 40's
Fluent in Zulu / Xhosa AND English
Container & Bulk Handling Equipment Control Systems
Bachelor's degree or recognised Diploma in Engineering or related field
Mechanical & Electrical Engineering experience with control systems knowledge
Experience in Port Operations OR Supply of container and bulk handling equipment to the ports OR Mining
Sound knowledge of MS Office and MS Projects
Extensive knowledge of container and bulk handling equipment
Control systems knowledge is a must
Other skills:
Project Management, Contract Management, Financial Management, Team Leadership, Customer Relations, Business Development, Operational Management, Safety & Compliance, Vendor & Supplier Management
Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and manage daily operations to ensure goals are met
Develop strategies to improve overall efficiency and performance
Lead and mentor a team towards achieving objectives
Manage budgets, financial plans, and ensure profitability
Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Identify business opportunities and contribute to business growth
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
