General Manager - Boutique Hotel - Plettenberg Bay
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel General Manager to oversee the operations of two luxury boutique hotels in Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape.
This is a unique opportunity to lead two well-established properties:

• 21-room boutique hotel (with expansion plans over the next 2 years)
• 13-room luxury boutique hotel offering an intimate guest experience

The role requires a hands-on hospitality leader with a proven track record in managing boutique or luxury hotels, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and delivering strong financial results.
Description
Key Responsibilities of the General Manager:

• Oversee daily hotel operations across both properties, including front office, food & beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance
• Lead and motivate a team of 60 staff members across both hotels
• Deliver a world-class guest experience and maintain 4-5 star service standards
• Recruit, train, and mentor hotel teams to ensure service excellence
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting for both properties
• Implement cost control measures while maximizing revenue and profitability
• Develop and execute sales, marketing, and revenue management strategies
• Uphold health, safety, and compliance standards across all departments
• Build strong relationships with guests, local suppliers, and key stakeholders

Minimum Requirements
Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Manager or Hotel Manager in a luxury/boutique hotel environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills with experience overseeing large hospitality teams
• Solid knowledge of hotel operations, finance, and revenue management
• Passion for hospitality, guest service, and luxury travel experiences
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and drive growth
