General Manager: Afritracker

Job Description

Afritracker is looking for a General Manager who will lead, manage, plan and implement an effective Afritracker / Telematics strategy in order to manage the vehicle and tracking operations and team to ensure that customers' needs are handled professionally and seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities



Strategy Implementation



Develops the Afritracker operational strategy in alignment with Afrirent's overall strategy, business objectives and targets Identifies and makes recommendations for improvements and enhancements to improve the overall customer experience Identifies potential risks and compliance requirements and monitors adherence Monitors, manages and tracks the achievement of key performance indicators and revenue targets Conducts research to stay abreast of vehicle tracking technologies / telematics, systems and industry regulations

Operational Management



Manages the Afritracker daily operations and oversees that all standard operating procedures and protocols are adhered to Monitors and manages all customer contracts and service level agreements (SLA's) and ensures that installations are implemented as per approved specifications Identifies deviations to contracts and SLA's and obtains approval prior to effecting/implementing changes to the specifications Addresses areas of concerns and puts plans in place to ensure compliance with SLA's Conducts testing of and / or approves new products / system implementations prior to installations

Administration and Reporting



Compiles and submits reports on installations, costs, vehicle tracking and risks identified Collects and analyses data and statistics to identify gaps and trends, and makes recommendations for improvements Submits reports on targets achieved, changes implemented and recommended improvements Investigates and reports findings and recommends preventative measures to internal stakeholders Implements effective quality control measures in order to maintain high levels of service standards Monitors and reports on the achievement of internal and external Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets

Stakeholder Management



Manages and maintains effective stakeholder and business relationships through appropriate relationship building, networking and reporting activities to promote retention and growth Manages relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure effective delivery on the projects Resolves queries to ensure speedy resolutions and enhance overall customer satisfaction Builds and maintains effective internal relations and collaborates with relevant departments to ensure a positive customer experience of the telematics service offering Shares knowledge and provides specialist support service and advice regarding telematics

Budget Management



Develops the annual Departmental budget Monitors expenditure in line with the approved budget and contracts / service level agreements on an on-going basis Ensures strict adherence to the approved budget

People Management



Manages the unit in line with company policies Fosters a suitable and supportive environment conducive to staff development and the achievement of Departmental objectives Implements staff development and training to achieve the unit and organisational objectives Implements performance management and monitors the performance of subordinate staff Participates in the recruitment and selection of subordinate staff

Work Experience



8 years' experience in business management / sales / marketing 5 years' experience in a management role Proven experience in motor vehicle tracking / telematics in a reputable vehicle-tracking company Technical experience in tracking-devices

Requirements



Degree (NQF Level 7) in Business Administration / Transport / Operations Management / Marketing Management / Business Studies Code 08 Driver's Licence Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) Certification will be advantageous

Pay: From R65000,00 per month
