Job Summary

Hire Resolve's client is a great mining company in KwaZulu-Natal, which is seeking the expertise of a General Manager (4.1a) to join their team in Ulundi.

Responsibilities:

• Develops division's business plan in line with strategy
• Participates in discussions to evaluate new business requirements with Executives
• Conducts feasibility studies to ascertain capacity and capability for new business
• Guides team on key approaches to achieve departmental objectives
• Develops monitoring and evaluation tools to ensure achievement of business objectives
• Drives achievement of divisional goals against set objectives through constant monitoring and evaluation
• Identifies gaps in relation to non-achievement of divisional objectives
• Develops catch up plan for division and coordinates catch up meetings
• Quality assures divisional processes through careful analysis
• Ensures safety management system is in place to ensure identification of hazardous working conditions and compliance with work procedures

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree in Mining Engineering
• Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency
• Blasting Certificate for Underground Coal
• 10 - 15 years experience in a coal mining environment
• Minimum 2 years as a General Manager (4.1a)
