Job Description

We require the services of an experienced, hands-on

General Maintenance Worker

, who will form part of a facilities maintenance team responsible for building and garden maintenance. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that buildings, facilities and grounds are well maintained and kept in a safe, clean and tidy condition.

ENTRY-LEVEL QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE



A Grade 10 TO 12. Able bodied & physically fit All-rounder handyman Able to operate portable power tolls General handyman & building maintenance knowledge Minor mechanical knowledge Minor electrical knowledge Minor plumbing knowledge Gardening knowledge 2 to 5 years of building maintenance/handyman experience

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS



Perform quality workmanship. Excellent housekeeping management. General building repairs & maintenance. Inventory & Stock control of all equipment, power tools & building materials. Health & Safety conscious. Gardening, mowing lawns & trimming trees. Perform other duties, as and when so requested, in support of team goals.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES



Good time keeping Honest, reliable & acts with integrity Team player, with good interpersonal skills. Literacy, read, write and interpret documents Communicate effectively
