RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced GENERAL HOTEL MANAGER for a well-established 5-star hotel, position based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area.JOB DESCRIPTIONGrade 12.Relevant qualifications.Person must be English speaking (able to read, write and speak English competently).Valid Code 08 drivers license / own reliable vehicle.Strong computer skills (MS Office / Email). Knowledge on the Semper programme a strong advantage.Previous working experience on various hospitality programmes.5yrs+ previous working experience at a 5-star hotel is ESSENTIAL!Overall management of the hotel in all its aspects administrative, financial, human resources, marketing, social media, maintenance.Ensuring that the quality of service and delivery standards expected of a hotel of this standard are being maintained and improved whenever necessary.Ensuring that the existing company disciplines, protocols and financial controls are being implemented and maintained.Ensuring that the buildings and their environs are maintained to the standard expected of a hotel of this nature.Ensuring that financial reports and reconciliations are attended to and provided timeously in line with the financial reporting deadlines as set out in the SOP.Monitoring the financial KPIs of the business, i.e. GPs, income and expenditure, occupancy percentages etc.Holding regular meetings with the management staff.Approving and signing off on all hotel purchases and timeously submitting the documents to the owner for payment approval.Ensuring that all staff members are provided with, and have signed an employment contract.Authorizing staff rosters, payroll reports for payment by the HR department and approving leave applications.Maintaining staff discipline and dealing with staff disciplinary matters.Devising and implementing a marketing strategy subject to the approval of the owner of the hotel.Regularly monitoring and, if necessary, updating the propertys social media sites.Salary package offered: - To be discussedPLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE THE RELEVANT EXPERIENCE / ONLY SUITABLE CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED.IMPORTANT
