INTRODUCTION:
Komatsu South Africa has an opportunity for a General Handyman to join the Facilities & Maintenance team at our Head Office in Germiston. This position is on a contract basis for 3 months. The preferred candidate should have at least 1 year experience of General Maintenance with Grade 12.
QUALIFICATION:
Matric / Equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
1 Year General Maintenance
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Identifies any problems with regards to basic maintenance
Reports any maintenance issues to manager immediately (e.g. blocked drains, toilets not flushing, broken tiles, etc.)
Performs basic electrical tasks e.g. changing of light bulb
Basic structural upkeep e.g. filling & painting of cracks
Performs basic carpenter functions e.g. door repairs, cabinet repairs
Assists tradespeople with tasks
Recruitment and selection processes are managed according to Komatsu's B-BBEE policies

Candidates will be expected to pass a relevant medical examination, and agree to verification checks
