Stefanutti Stocks Inland is looking for a General Foreman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day operations of bulk earthworks and civil construction activities on-site.



The General Foreman ensures that all work is executed safely, efficiently, to specification, and within the project schedule. This role requires strong leadership and effective management of site teams and resources to achieve project objectives. The General Foreman also ensures full compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards throughout all phases of construction.




Key Responsibilities:




Supervise and coordinate all site activities related to bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage, pipelines, and other civil infrastructure. Lead and manage site teams, including foremen, operators, and laborers, to achieve daily and weekly production targets. Interpret construction drawings and specifications to guide teams and ensure correct implementation. Monitor and control progress, ensuring adherence to construction programs and schedules. Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and project managers to align on priorities, resolve technical issues, and optimize workflow. Inspect workmanship and materials to maintain high standards of quality. Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and promote a strong safety culture on site. Plan and allocate resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to maximize productivity. Report daily progress, site issues, and resource needs to the project manager or construction manager. Mentor and train junior staff, ensuring continuous skill development within the team. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and project specifications. Requirements


Minimum Requirements:




Minimum 10 years' experience in bulk earthworks and civil construction, including large dams, roads, platforms, stormwater, and pipelines. Proven experience in supervisory or foreman roles on large-scale civil or mining infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of earthmoving equipment, construction methodologies, and productivity management. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications accurately. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Solid knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices. Valid driver's license, own vehicle fit for the construction environment Willingness to work away from home for extended periods.
