General duties

(including but not limited to)

Ensure enough grass is opened up for the number of cattle that needs to graze

- Ensuring that the electrical wire is function correctly

- To allocate the cattle to the cordoned of sections

- Movement of cattle to and from processing to backgrounding camps

- Report any and all sick, lame and poor doing cattle to management

- Ensure the safeguarding of all cattle in order to prevent theft

- Processing of new cattle

Interpersonal relationships

- Have a high level of social contact

- Communicate face-to-face discussions on a daily basis

- Work as part of a team

Physical working conditions

- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods

- Significant physical abilities include: (a) lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, (b) near/far visual acuity/depth perception

- Must be able/willing to work in adverse weather conditions

- Exposure to dry, hot, dusty, cold or rainy conditions

- Exposure to fumes and/or airborne particles

- Noise level is mild/ moderate

Work performance

- This position is classified as general work

Note:

- Must be capable to do weekend duty according to the weekend roster

- Must be capable and willing to work overtime when required

- Must be will to relocate and reside on the farm

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to R5701,00 per month

Education:

High School (matric) (Preferred)
Experience:

general cattle working : 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:

Code 08 and tractor license (Preferred)
