Responsibilities will include but not limited to:Provide input into the bi-weekly and monthly maintenance programs, and endorse operational maintenance plansEnsure all work is effectively planned and executed in a safe and cost-effective mannerManage the necessary repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines to ensure continuous production at the operationManage planning and implementing improvementsReview Maintenance reports and statistics to plan and recommend changes to maintenance activitiesDevelop and implement methods and procedures to ensure optimal performance of resources. Draft and submit Job cards and PRT's for approval by the Engineering before they are implementedEnsure maintenance teams are informed and conversant with the latest rules and procedures and that it is adhered toDaily meetings with contractor supervisors and planners to monitor work planned and compliance to the maintenance schedule and to ensure safety rules and procedures are adhered toStop work immediately if the team do not comply to the mine rules and procedures in terms of safety or management Requirements:National N4 Certificate and recognised trade test in the relevant discipline or National Diploma or Engineering DegreeA minimum of 4 years' experience as an appointed 2.9.2 Engineering ForemanSafety & Risk Management CourseKnowledge of Relevant Legislation including: The Mine Health and Safety Act, Minerals and Energy Act, Basic Conditions of Employment and Environmental LegislationAn in-depth knowledge of technical engineering aspects such as outside equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and South Africa Bureau of Standards (SABS)A good working knowledge and understanding of machinery and equipment used in the Mining industryAware of best practices and new technologies relating to Engineering Principles and ProcessesProficiency in Microsoft office package i.e. Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPointA valid driver's licenseIn possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness Advantageous:Government Certificate of Competence GCC (Mines & Works)Knowledge of SAP and Isometrix Please note:Please use Google Chrome as default browser when applying to enable the attachment of documentsA CV with certified copies (certification within a 3-month period) of relevant qualifications, together with ID document & valid driver's license must be accompanied with your applicationAppointments will be made in line with Employment Equity targetsAll applicants are thanked for their interestApplications which have not been responded to within 30 days of closing date should be regarded as unsuccessfulCommunication will be with shortlisted candidates only
