Job Description


We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Administrator to join our team in George. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Xero and SimplePay and be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records and managing payroll on a fortnightly basis.Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and update stock data accurately on the system
  • Reconcile stock movements and investigate discrepancies
  • Process and manage fortnightly payroll using SimplePay
  • Maintain employee records, leave tracking, and compliance with labor regulations
  • Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, document filing, and communication support
  • Capture and reconcile supplier invoices and payments on Xero
  • Generate and submit basic financial reports and summaries
  • Liaise with suppliers, staff, and management to support smooth business operations
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an administrative role (1-2 years preferred)
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software
  • Experience with SimplePay payroll system
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • High level of computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, Email)
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of stock/inventory systems
  • Familiarity with basic HR or payroll legislation in South Africa
  • Previous experience in a small business or retail environment
