An established and growing marketing outsource company is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Gauteng. This leadership role is ideal for experienced business leaders with strong marketing knowledge and commercial acumen. The position is self-employed, offering autonomy, relationship-driven work, and measurable results while building and leading a regional team of senior marketing professionals.
Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Network Growth - Drive all business development activities within the region, representing the organisation as a credible presence in the business community. Identify and nurture referral partnerships, align with national campaigns, and create tailored regional outreach.
  • Sales & Client Acquisition - Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial enquiry through to contract signature. Match client needs with the right marketing expertise, nurture leads, and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Client Success & Retention - Oversee client relationships, ensuring measurable outcomes, strategic direction, and long-term engagement. Monitor onboarding, reviews, and health checks to maintain strong client value. Step in to mediate or realign delivery when needed.
  • Team Leadership & Development - Recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing team of 15+ marketers per region. Facilitate regular team meetings, encourage commercial activity, and oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews. Monitor team utilisation to ensure skills meet market demand.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in a commercial environment.
  • Strong consultative sales skills and a relationship-first approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence senior professionals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with sound business judgement.
  • Broad commercial background with solid marketing knowledge.
  • Comfortable with autonomy, ambiguity, and leading through change.
