Garment Technologist Poetry

Job Description
Are you passionate about fit, fabric, and quality down to the last stitch? Poetry is looking for a technically strong, detail-obsessed Garment Technologist to help bring our beautiful ranges to life.
You'll work closely with our design and buying teams, managing everything from initial tech packs to final garment approvals-ensuring every piece meets our high standards and stays true to the Poetry brand.
What you'll be doing:
- Oversee the full sealing process from development to bulk production
- Collaborate with design on fit, spec, and construction
- Manage supplier relationships and provide technical guidance
- Conduct fit sessions and lead seasonal reviews
- Maintain our block library, grade rules, and QA standards
- Resolve quality issues with a solution-driven mindset
- Liaise with local and international factories on samples and approvals
- Relevant tertiary qualification in fashion, textiles, or garment construction
- 10+ years' experience in a similar role (retail experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of pattern and garment construction
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- A valid driver's license is an advantage
