Job Description

Candidates MUST have excellent people skills, an outgoing personality, and attention to detail. Ideal candidates would have experience as an escape room gamemaster. Otherwise experience in theater, prop design and production, performing arts, and/or public speaking will be of benefit. English fluency is required, while additional languages (particularly Afrikaans) would be of benefit.

Candidates MUST be reliable, and have reliable transportation and be able to work nights and weekends. The work will be flexible, so you can tailor it around other commitments.

Title: Game Master

Unlock Escape Rooms Stellenbosch is a fun interactive experience in which customers will be challenged to find clues and solve puzzles to facilitate their own escape.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Game Master will be the direct representative of Unlock Escape Rooms and your most important task will be providing outstanding customer service - ensuring our guests have an amazing experience from the time they book until they leave.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct business opening and closing procedures. Answer phones, take bookings. Ensure escape room is reset and ready for each new game. Have every customer read and sign the waiver. Go over rules and safety guidelines, prior to every game. Explain the back story for their escape room experience. Monitor every game for its entirety and provide clues when required. At the conclusion of their game, interact with customers for a debrief, point out their strengths, take photo of group. Invite customers to comment on our FB page and invite them back. Invite customers to review their experience on Google and TripAdvisor. Frequent cleaning of escape rooms, lobbies and office.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing top notch customer service.

Experience in theater, public speaking, and performing arts.

Experience with basic hand tools, glues, adhesives, and other do it yourself repair techniques.
