Role Summary
The role serves as the in-house expert and primary point of contact for all functional matters relating to assigned products. The incumbent will be responsible for the full product lifecycle from ideation and market positioning through to growth, enhancement, and eventual decommissioning. This includes taking ownership of the product's commercial and operational performance, driving strategic direction, and ensuring profitability. The position also requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to ensure products are competitive, compliant, and deliver a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the commercial and operational performance of assigned products.
• Track and report on sales and revenue in collaboration with revenue owners.
• Track and report on costs in collaboration with cost owners.
• Drive and manage gross profit outcomes across products.
• Manage supplier relationships, agreements, and SLAs.
• Monitor and analyse competitor activity and market trends.
• Track and report on customer engagement, usage, and satisfaction.
• Define and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements and new features.
• Coordinate and manage internal stakeholder agreements with supporting departments.
• Facilitate regular engagement with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
• Handle and resolve customer escalations related to product issues.
• Oversee product decommissioning where required.
• Manage legal, compliance, and governance matters (e.g., ICASA notifications).
• Configure and maintain system workflows for customer support, incident management, and service assurance.
• Facilitate regular engagement with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
• Handle and resolve customer escalations related to product issues.
• Oversee product decommissioning where required.
• Manage legal, compliance, and governance matters (e.g., ICASA notifications).

Qualifications Required

• Matric / Grade 12
• Bachelor's degree or three-year diploma in engineering or industrial design or equivalent qualification.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 8 years' experience at a senior level within the telecommunications or related industries.
• Proven track record in managing telecommunications products and services across their full lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience in product management and/or product development.
