Front Of House Manager - Cape TownPosition: Front of House ManagerLocation: Bree StreetReports to: Owners or General ManagerJob Summary:We are seeking a talented and dedicated Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations and guest experience at our establishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front of house team, ensuring impeccable service, and enhancing the overall dining or customer experience. This position is crucial for maintaining our reputation for exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable experience for all patrons.Responsibilities:As a Front of House Manager, your responsibilities will include:1. Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and manage the front of house staff, including servers, host/hostesses, and bartenders.Set clear performance expectations, train new team members, and conduct regular performance evaluations.Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and exceptional service.2. Customer Service:Ensure a welcoming and exceptional customer experience for all guests.Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.Train and enforce high-quality service standards among front of house staff.3. Operations Management:Oversee daily operations, including seating arrangements, reservations, and waitlist management.Monitor the flow of guests to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times.Collaborate with the kitchen and back of house team to ensure efficient service.4. Quality Control:Ensure that food and beverage quality meets or exceeds established standards.Address any issues related to food quality, service speed, and customer satisfaction.Conduct regular inspections to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front of house.5. Inventory and Supplies:Monitor and manage inventory of front of house supplies, such as tableware, linens, and condiments.6. Event and Reservation Management:Handle reservations, private event bookings, and special occasions, ensuring seamless execution.Maintain a calendar of upcoming events and manage staff scheduling accordingly.7.
