Position Overview

We are looking for a

Front of House / Barista

to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will be professional, customer-focused, and passionate about coffee, premium desserts, and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Barista Duties

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages for sit-down and takeaway customers Maintain cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the coffee station and equipment Deliver prompt, consistent, and friendly service

Customer Service & Sales

Greet and assist walk-in customers with warmth and professionalism Provide product recommendations and upsell where appropriate Confidently explain ingredients, textures, and features of each dessert and beverage Process orders via the YOCO point-of-sale system and issue receipts (email, SMS, or print) Manage customer flow and communicate with the kitchen during busy periods

Stock & Display

Maintain an attractive and hygienic display of all products Monitor stock levels and communicate with the back-of-house team for replenishment Manage UberEats orders, availability, and "Out of Stock" updates in real time

Cleanliness & Hygiene

Keep all customer areas, tables, counters, and floors spotless Sanitise coffee station, utensils, and surfaces according to food safety standards Ensure tables are cleaned immediately after guests finish

Brand Representation

Present yourself in a professional, elegant manner, aligned with our brand image Provide service with attention to detail, warmth, and efficiency Handle minor customer issues tactfully and escalate when needed

Requirements

Previous barista and/or front-of-house experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and a passion for quality service Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn about our products and brand ethos Professional appearance and excellent personal hygiene Reliable, punctual, and a team player

Store Operating Hours

Monday to Thursday:

09:00 - 18:00

Friday:

09:00 - 19:00

Saturday:

09:00 - 17:00

Sunday:

09:00 - 14:00

Remuneration

Salary:

R5,500 per month

Commission:

1% on personal in-store sales via Yoco POS (excluding online/UberEats orders)
