Job Summary MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
10 -15 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in feedlots, livestock management and pivots
At least 2 years cropping experience (maize and green feed)
Experience with cattle, sheep & horses
Experience with disease prevention and treatment
Previous experience with operating and maintenance of pivots, pumps, generator, electrical etc.
Computer literate
Must have strong administrative skills
Strong management and communication skills
Valid drivers license

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be based on the farm to oversee the planning, management and control of the overall operation Cattle & sheep free-range feedlot
Oversee Percheron horse stud
Livestock healthcare - vaccinations & treatment
Planting of crops and irrigation management
Operation and maintenance of pivots (including electrical aspects via generator)
Management of 6-10 permanent / temporary labourers
Strong administrative abilities
Planning, mixing and administering of supplementary feed
