Founding Sales & Customer Success (EdTech K12)
Overview
Join a rapidly growing AI-powered EdTech startup as a founding team member in Sales & Customer Success. Work directly with the CEO to drive 30% month-over-month growth, manage the sales pipeline, and transform how teachers grade--saving them thousands of hours while improving student outcomes.
This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role where you'll shape core processes, own revenue targets, and help scale a solution used by tens of thousands of teachers serving over half a million students.

  • Location: Remote (Preferred: native English speaker, e.g., South Africa)
  • Type: Full-time | AI EdTech SaaS | Early-stage equity
  • Experience: 2+ years selling K-12 SaaS literacy products to Directors of Curriculum with proven sales results
  • Impact: Scale a solution used by tens of thousands of teachers, serving over half a million students
  • Compensation: US$35k base + uncapped commission + potential future equity
What You'll Do
Own the Sales Process (50%)
  • Drive inbound leads from first contact to close
  • Execute bottom-up sales strategies: turn teacher champions into school-wide adoption, schedule and lead demos
  • Build top-down playbooks: engage schools/districts where teachers use free tools, generate admin leads
  • Create marketing & sales assets, manage CRM and sales tools
  • Hit quarterly revenue targets
Operate Customer Success (50%)
  • Drive renewals, pricing reviews, and cross-selling
  • Expand existing accounts to add more schools
  • Build referral programs leveraging satisfied customers
  • Increase adoption through effective onboarding and training
  • Collect and synthesize feedback to inform product development

Requirements
What You'll Bring
  • Native/fluent English
  • 2-6+ years in K-12 SaaS sales, with a proven track record of exceeding targets
  • Strong organizational and process-oriented skills
  • Proactive, autonomous, and highly self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with GenAI tools
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in early-stage startups
  • Eagerness to join a founding team and grow with equity upside
Bonus Points
  • Selling to US K-12 Directors of Curriculum
  • Background as an English teacher or school administrator
  • Prior experience in K-12 SaaS companies such as Nearpod, Newsela, Pear Deck, Edpuzzle, Writable, NoRedInk, Seesaw, ClassDojo, etc.
