Forensic Accounting
Location: Milnerton, Western Cape (Lagoon Beach)
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: R15 000 - R18 000 per month
Please note: Only candidates residing in the Western Cape will be considered

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping (Essential)
• Diploma in Accounting (Essential)

Experience Requirements
Minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping experience
Experience working in an accounting firm (Preferred)
UK accounting experience (Advantageous)
Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients within an assigned portfolio
• Process cashbooks and perform bank reconciliations
• Oversee creditor processing and supplier reconciliations
• Process month-end journal entries
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Maintain fixed asset registers, including acquisitions, disposals, and annual depreciation
• Perform intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Prepare management accounts
• Administer the full payroll function, including EMP201 and EMP501 submissions (with assistance)
• Reconcile VAT and submit SARS returns
• Electronically file financial records
• Update internal workflow management system (Pixie)
• Assist with ad hoc finance-related tasks as required

Technical & Industry Skills

• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
• Proficient in Xero and Sage Business Online
• Payroll software experience, with SimplePay preferred
• Proficient in SARS e-Filing
• Experience with VAT reconciliations and submissions
• Experience with intercompany accounting
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting processes
