SUMMARY:
-POSITION INFO:Job Title: Food TechnologistOur client based on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal is looking for a motivated and detail-driven Food Technologist. The ideal candidate will be experienced in product development, quality assurance, and food safety within the food manufacturing industry.Requirements:National Diploma or Degree in Food Technology or Food ScienceAt least 1 year of experience in a similar role within the food industryKnowledge of R&D and food labelling regulations is essentialProficient in MS Word and ExcelAbility to communicate in isiZulu and/or isiXhosaWillingness to work overtime and relocate if neededResponsibilities:Conduct training and provide translation support where requiredDrive New Product Development (NPD) and manage R&D trialsPerform nutritional/shelf-life sampling and costings (BOMs)Conduct hygiene inspections and ensure regulatory complianceCollect samples, perform swabbing, and analyse dataInvestigate wastage and assist with NCR trackingEnsure recipe adherence, packaging compliance, and traceabilitySupport quality teams and oversee hygiene practicesMonitor staff timekeeping and assist with performance managementIf you meet all of the above, please send your CV toPlease note due to high volume responses, only candidates that meet the advertised criteria will be contacted.
