Job Summary Requirements:

• Must have the ability to read and write in English
• At least 2-4 years relative experience working with trucks or heavy-duty vehicles
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle maintenance
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks (e.g. truck cleaning, inspections)
• Attention to detail and ability to follow inspection checklists accurately
• Able to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability in handling company vehicles
• Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license (Code 10 or higher preferred, but not mandatory)
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules. Required to be on standby and work overtime as needed
• Preferably someone who has their own transportation
• Computer literate

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections on trucks to ensure they meet safety and operational standards
• Perform quality checks and report any faults, damages, or maintenance needs
• Must have basic technical knowledge of trucks, including mechanical components and safety features
• Must be able to refuel trucks carefully and safely
• Accurately record diesel and petrol usage for each refuelling session
• Maintain logs showing how much fuel was filled, for which specific truck and company vehicle
• Monitor fuel usage patterns and report any irregularities or possible wastage
• Perform cleaning and washing of trucks to ensure vehicles are kept in a presentable and roadworthy condition
• Assist with pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any immediate issues
• Keep the yard and vehicle area clean and organised
• Good understanding of diesel usage and handling
• Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance tasks
