Finishing Foreman - Cape TownHealth, Safety & EnvironmentSite SafetyFinishing ForemanJOB SUMMARYA well-established Construction Company in the Built environment is seeking to appoint a Finishing Foreman for a Duration Contract to be based out of Durbanville, Cape Town, Western Cape.THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTThe successful applicant will fulfil all the necessary requirements with regards to the Companyxe2x80x99s operational activities at designated Projects that are being undertaken by the Company.In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to: -Minimum Requirements:NQF Trade Certificate/Diploma (Bricklaying, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.)National Technical Certificate/Diploma in Construction.Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman of least 2 to 5 years.In depth knowledge of construction site Health, Safety & Environment requirements.Proven track record of having managed construction site Staff and Sub-Contractors.In-depth knowledge of project site dynamics, priorities and key focus areas.Valid Driverxe2x80x99s License and own transportation.Preferred Competencies:Excellent planning, organising, communication and interpersonal skills.Strong time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.Good decision making and problem-solving skills.Great attention to detail and Quality Control.A motivated self-starter who takes a proactive and solution driven approach.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe role responsibilities will include (but not limited to):Plan and oversee the finishing works of construction projects.Communicate with Managers, Contractors, Workers and Clients.Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the specification and programme.Management of on-site Staff and Sub-Contractors.Ensuring site safety and OSHA requirements are fully met.Attending Site Meetings.Maintain proper stock records for on-site materials.Assisting with the control of plant and equipment on site.Provide direction and support to project team members.Report project progress to respective stakeholders.Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of standards.Please be advised that only shortlisted candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role will be contacted for an interview by one of our consultants.
