Our client, a leader in the agricultural industry (citrus), is currently looking to employ a Financial Supervisor / Accountant to their Eastern Cape team. This position will be based in Kirkwood, Eastern Cape.An awesome long term career opportunity awaits!Requirements:Grade 12 as per the National Senior Certificate requirements (Umalusi endorsed).A relevant B-Degree (M+3) at a recognized and SAQA accredited university will be advantageous (Further specialized qualification will be advantageous).Relevant financial management experience, preferably in agriculture.5-8 years of extensive experience in financial experience.Computer packages and system(s) currently in use by the company.Advanced Excel and PowerPoint functionality.Usage of Power BI will be advantageous.Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.Reporting capacity.Strong financial and business acumen.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Display high commitment to delivering results.Being comfortable interacting with senior management.Facilitation, Coordination, and Analysis.Liaison and Communication.Excellent client relationships building skills.High capacity to represent the brand.Ability to multitask.Remain attentive in an often-busy environment.Be naturally calm and focused.Be versatile if participation in other types of activity is required.Managing a small team.Responsibilities:The role will be responsible for providing support to the GM and fulfilling information requests related to the financial operations and processes. Furthermore, it will be required to execute reporting (frequency specific to information needed) to management and stakeholders, as well as participating in the annual reporting, planning, and budgeting process.Regularly analyses financial information and advises the GM of financial management problem areas and areas of concern.Prepares, reviews, and submits a variety of reports, reconciliations, communications, schedules, tables, and statements to and from internal departments, financial teams, and external agencies.Analyse financial data and monitor internal controls.Participate in budgeting processes.Review and validation of financial data provided by the team on a weekly/ monthly/ quarterly basis, interpreting the results and preparing reports for review by management.Liaise with other sites and assist South African finance teams on reporting requirements.Analyses a variety of issues on an ad hoc basis as requested by management.Participate in an annual benchmarking survey (Source BI) at the end of the season.Gather and prepare information required for the Round Table meeting and Annual reports for UFSA.visit https://www.headhunt.co.za/jobs/2
