Job Summary Job Purpose The Financial Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. The role is responsible for managing accounting functions, cash flow, financial reporting, and operational controls to support strategic business decisions and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and company policies. Ensure timely submission of management reports to senior leadership. Monitor financial performance and analyse variances against budget and forecasts. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads. Monitor departmental budgets and provide insights on cost-saving opportunities. Identify and mitigate financial risks affecting the company's performance. Cash Flow & Treasury Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment planning. Ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs while maximising returns. Oversee debt management and funding requirements as necessary. Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with SARS regulations, tax laws, and other statutory requirements. Implement and maintain robust internal controls and audit processes. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and resolve any findings promptly. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Manage, mentor, and develop finance staff to ensure high performance. Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency. Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management and board members.
