SUMMARY:
Our client in Stikland Industrial, Cape Town is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a BCom (Hon) degree or a CIMA qualification, with previous experience in a similar financial role considered advantageous. Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans is essential, along with 35 years of proven management experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BCom (Hon) degree or CIMA qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar financial role advantageous
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans
  • 35 years of management experience
DUTIES:
  • Including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Oversee and direct debt collection, cash flow management and forecasting, budgeting, audits, tax
, purchasing, and activities for the company. * Responsible for managing annual tariff increases.
  • Manage the Financial Controller in developing procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain accurate records and ensure adequate accounting controls.
  • Act as custodian of the company's funds and assets.
  • Appraise the companys financial position and issue periodic reports on financial stability, liquidity, and growth.
  • Analyze, consolidate, and direct all cost accounting procedures, along with other statistical and routine reporting.
  • Oversee and manage the preparation of the companys annual financial reports for external auditors.
  • Monitor and analyze general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the companys strategies and operations.
  • Analyze operational issues affecting individual departments and the broader organization, determining their financial impact.
  • Evaluate and recommend financial improvements across departments.
  • Stay up to date with regulations and legislation affecting company finances and ensure compliance.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of business and financial management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Ensure the company maintains sufficient insurance coverage annually for both assets and professional indemnity.
  • Evaluate asset replacement annually for insurance purposes.
  • Review and ensure compliance with the companys regulatory requirements.
